Last Week of Online Marketplace - Order by Wednesday!

Dear Growing Together customers,
Thank you for your immense support this year as we pivoted our market to this online platform. Your purchases have made this change in our program possible, and we are so grateful for your support.

Alongside this shift from an in-person farmers market to our online marketplace, covid-19 has also pushed our program to adjust to increased need in our community for high-quality, locally grown vegetables. In the spring, we piloted a program led by Growing Together’s Burmese interpreter and community leader, Lu Lu Nhkum, to share Growing Together vegetables for free with members of the Burmese community impacted by covid-19. This program was so successful, that we are transitioning our fall outlets to expand this program with the Burmese community as well as start a new partnership with Trap Garden, a nonprofit organization who’s mission is to help build, sustain, and empower low-income communities by assisting in the creation of community gardens and the promotion of healthy eating. These new initiatives are clear steps forward towards The Nashville Food Project’s vision of community food security, and we are excited about the ways that the Growing Together farmers can be paid for their work in support of this.

Because of these changes, this will be our last week of the online marketplace. Saturday, August 8th is the last pick up day. We have so many summer vegetables on the market, so make sure to get your fill in this week!

Again, thank you so much for your support of the Growing Together farmers over the last several months. Your purchases have supported them with income in a critical time. We will continue our CSA program in the Fall and in 2021, so there will still be ways to get Growing Together produce! The Fall CSA is sold out, but stay tuned for more information about the Spring CSA in the coming months.

With gratitude,
The Growing Together team
